How to identify a Buenos Aires parcel in Ciudad 3D
Match an address, block frontage and parcel in Ciudad 3D before connecting a building to planning information.
A Buenos Aires address can lead to an entrance without identifying the entire parcel. When researching an apartment or possible building works, start with a match you can explain: street, number, side of the block and land boundary.
Keep the original address
Open the city government’s Ciudad 3D and search the address you have. Record the wording supplied in the advertisement or document. If the search returns a nearby number, retain that discrepancy in your notes. Changing the number merely to obtain a result does not settle the identification.
Zoom out enough to recognise the complete block. Compare its corners and the frontage used for access. On a corner, two addresses might describe separate entrances to one complex, or entirely separate parcels. Nearby markers alone cannot distinguish those cases. A recognisable facade is a useful observation, but still needs to be connected to the particular record under review.
Create a usable query reference
Save the parcel reference displayed by the tool with the searched address, date and link. If taking a screenshot, include the block and legend instead of an isolated polygon. For an apartment, add tower, floor and unit as details requiring documentary confirmation; do not assign them to the whole parcel.
A useful comparison can end with a focused uncertainty: “The frontage matches, but the unit behind this entrance remains unconfirmed.” That supports a precise follow-up request. Do not assume the entire displayed volume belongs to the advertised property. Identifying the land is a prerequisite for reading planning parameters; it does not establish private floor area, ownership or development capacity.
A building for practising the distinction
The verified Terraes record represents a 339.29 m² footprint at -34.60857, -58.38994. The query on 22 September 2026 returned this Overture record, release 2026-08-19.0. This is footprint area; it does not identify an apartment or establish rights over the land. Use the example to recognise which object you are reading before applying the official query to your property.

Mapped footprints do not establish legal ownership or apartment floor area. Advertisements describe asking prices; area references are neither recorded sale prices nor official appraisals.
